Whats in a virus?

Many people have caught this horrible virus thats floating around the city recently.
It seems to just creep up..and then attack you from all sides.
I have been fortunate enough not to experience this yet physically ...*knock on wood* but i have a handful of friends that aren't even in the same circles who have or have had it. As I type..my poor sister is coughing up a lung in the next room.
So what is a virus a metaphor for - my relationship with the relationship

I'd like to quote from one of my favorite movies "The Holiday" Although, i do not directly relate with all of it... i do believe its a fairly good match.

"How come I always fall for the bad boy?

Because your hoping your wrong

And every time he does something that tells you he is no good, you ignore it,

And every time he comes through and surprises you, he wins you over and you lose that argument with yourself that he’s not for you.

Turned out he wasn’t in love with me like I thought,

What I’m trying to say is, I understand feeling as small and insignificant as humanly possible,

And how it can actually ache in places you didn’t know you had inside you,

And it doesn’t matter how many new haircuts you have or gyms you join or how many glasses of chardonnay you drink with your girlfriends,

You still go to bed every night, going over every detail and wonder what you did wrong,

Or how you could have misunderstood,

And how in the hell for that brief moment you could think that you were that happy.

And sometimes you can even convince yourself that he’ll see the light and show up at your door,

And after all that, however long all that may be,

You’ll go somewhere new, and you’ll meet people who make you feel worthwhile again,

And little pieces of your soul will finally come back,

And all that fuzzy stuff, those years of your life that you wasted,

They will eventually begin to fade."

So as it seems there is no cure for this physical virus attacking people other than time..does that speak true of your heart as well?
